IT Operations Administrator-NBGSC

Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Business Technology (NBT) is seeking qualified applicants for the IT Operations Administrator position.
The candidate must fully understand and demonstrate success in supporting Nucor's vision of Growing the Core, Expanding Beyond, and Living our Culture.
This includes taking care of our customers through operational and commercial excellence, contributing to being the world's safest steel company, and living each day with gratitude to those who make our work possible.
The specific responsibilities of the IT Operations Administrator include, but are not limited to:
Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows OS, and Server OS Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows OS, and Server OS in a virtual environment.
Assembling, maintaining, upgrading, and troubleshooting computer and server hardware and peripherals Managing AD, Azure AD with Accounts, Security Groups, and Policies.
Administration of utility servers such as but not limited to Print Servers, File Servers, DHCP servers.
Managing endpoints with group policy or Intune.
Use PowerShell to automate management task.
Create and verify nightly backups of data, maintain disaster recovery plan.
Backup and assist PC Tech on an as needed basis.
This is a fulltime, permanent position with the NBGSC Team and is based in Swansea, SC.
Some travel will be required.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
Equivalent combination of experience and education will also be considered.
Minimum 5 years related experience in managing server, storage and azure infrastructure.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Proven experience researching and implementing new technologies.
Experience with VMware, EMC storage, and Dell servers, Cohesity backup.
Certification in VMware, Microsoft Azure Recommended Skills Administration Assembly And Installation Automation Azure Active Directory Computer Architectures Disaster Recovery Plan Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
